End-to-end solar project for a high energy business
InstaGroup completed the installation of an extensive solar PV system for Ten87 Studios in Tottenham, London. Ten87 operates 50 world-class recording studios in London and is home to over 150 recording artists. It’s also a thriving creative hub for the local music-making community. Electricity use was high, with recording gear, sound engineering consoles, audio decks, musical instruments, lights, microphones and more running almost constantly. With the uncertainty of rising energy prices, the business founders knew they had to control day-to-day running costs.
We help access funding for solar
InstaGroup helped the business to apply for community funding, and the cost of the extensive solar installation was covered by a generous grant from Haringey Council’s Carbon Community Fund.
A total solution for the switch to solar
InstaGroup adapted the system design to meet additional local council planning regulations and worked efficiently alongside neighbouring businesses. We also overcame issues with access at the site. Ten87 Studios is looking to invest in battery storage in the near future to further increase savings on energy.

It’s also helping the business to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels in support of the long-term business aim of becoming carbon-neutral.
