Ready to make the switch to solar?
We’ll guide you from your first survey through to powering your home with clean, homegrown energy. Our solar installation process is simple:

  • Pre-installation survey & structural assessment
An Engineer conducts a roof/electrical survey and provides an MCS report for a tailored solar design for your home.
  • DNO approval
Before we install your solar panels, we'll aquire DNO approval: G99 pre-installation (up to 45 working days) and G98 post-installation.

Everything you need to know about Solar installation for your home

Is solar energy renewable?

Yes, solar energy is completely renewable. It comes from the sun, which is naturally replenished every day, making it a clean and sustainable way to power your home while reducing your carbon footprint.

Can I stay at home during solar installation?

Yes, you can usually stay at home during installation. Most systems are installed within one to two days, and disruption is kept to a minimum, with installers working efficiently and safely throughout.

How many solar panels do I need?

The number of solar panels you need depends on your energy usage, roof size, and how much of your electricity you want to generate. A tailored design will ensure your system is sized to deliver the best balance of performance and value.

Do you need planning permission for solar panels?

In most cases, solar panels can be installed under permitted development rights, so planning permission isn’t required. This will always be checked during your survey to ensure your installation meets all local regulations and guidelines.

Will solar power increase the value of my home?

Solar panels can make your home more appealing to buyers, especially those looking for energy-efficient properties. Lower running costs and improved energy performance are often seen as added benefits.

Do solar panels work in winter?

Yes, solar panels continue to generate electricity throughout winter. While output may be lower due to shorter days, they still work efficiently in daylight and can contribute to your energy needs all year round.

Is there ongoing maintenance with solar panels?

Solar panels require very little maintenance. They are designed to be durable and self-cleaning in most weather conditions, with occasional checks or cleaning helping to keep them performing at their best over time.
